Not that anyone knows it, but that's beside the point.
Her cell door opens. The warden drones her newly-minted roommate's number, then with a heavy clang closes the door up all over again. Hermes barely looks up from where she's idly shuffling a deck of playing cards on her bed. A short, crisp fluttering of cards later, she gives herself a chance for a double-take at Jeanne: taller than her, cute in an off-beat kind of way, an absent look of what she assumes to be helpless, kicked-puppy confusion. Too much of a sweetheart to belong in a joint like this, really; should start taking bets on how long this one'll last. With inquiring eyes, she's looking her new cellmate up and down, and finally she opens her mouth:]
New girl? [Her head cocks slightly to the left.] Hermes Costello. The top bunk's mine, don't say weird shit in your sleep, don't touch my stuff. Keep that in the back of your head and we'll be all right.

Well, it's prison. It's prison in a foreign country, and god only knows how long Jotaro will take before he comes to bail her out (if he even knows she's here), and the concept is terrifying, all right? So maybe she's a little apprehensive as she comes in.
But oddly enough, her cellmate's speech helps. It's not friendly, not in the least, but it does one thing: it sparks irritation in her. Jeanne latches onto that emotion as quickly as she can. Anger is always better than fear.]
How the hell am I gonna stop myself from saying weird shit in my sleep?
[That's a thick French accent she's got, but whatever, the words are all grammatically correct.]
